About Us

Dr. Michael O Brien Family Practice was established in 1999 and has been serving the local communities of Leopardstown, Sandyford and Stepaside, as well as the business communities of the Sandyford Industrial Estate and Central Park (Leopardstown) for 20 years. The practice is within the Leopardstown HSE Primary Care Centre, located on the outside of the Leopardstown Shopping Centre. Previously the practice was located in the Sandyford Hall Neighbourhood Centre and moved to the current location in 2010. The current building is a modern purpose built medical centre.

We have a range of services on offer to address the needs of patients of all ages from birth to the older years. We are a university-affiliated (UCD/TCD) teaching practice. We recognise the need to respond to the demands of our patients as quickly as possible. It is, therefore, our promise to provide an efficient service, dealing quickly and accurately with the needs of our patients. Treating acute and chronic illnesses, our practice provides preventative care and health education for all ages and both sexes.

We aim to provide a comprehensive efficient service. It is important to have a family GP that you’re happy with, one that you can rely on, and one that knows your family history inside out. This will increase the chance of a fast diagnosis and therefore result in quicker treatment for the patient. Simply call us to arrange an appointment and we will be delighted to see you.
